1. Collect personal information of website users

Certain email communications you receive from us may contain "web beacons." A web beacon consists of a line of code on our website that provides a small graphic image. A web beacon may not be visible because it is a 1×1 pixel and is typically designed to blend into the background of a web page. Web beacons allow us to obtain the following information: the IP address of the computer that downloaded the page on which the web beacon appears, the URL of the page on which the web beacon appears, the time the page containing the web beacon was viewed, the browser used to view the page and the information in the cookie type. We use web beacons for activities such as monitoring the effectiveness of headers in emails or advertising banners.
IP address
Your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address is a numerical label assigned to each device (such as a computer, printer, mobile device or server) and is typically associated with the location from which you enter the Internet. This is how devices find each other on the network. We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, gather broad demographic information, collect geographic data, and administer our website.
Do not track requests
We do not take action, alter, or alter our website behavior upon receipt of a "Do Not Track" request from your browser.
3. Use and retention of personal information

- With third parties who provide services for us or on our behalf (such as credit card companies, credit and/or investigative reporting agencies, financial companies, transportation companies, consultants, consultants and market research companies), or
- For marketing activities conducted by us or other companies or organizations that offer relevant products or services that we believe may be of interest to our customers.
Our service providers are required to keep personal information received from us confidential and secure in accordance with this Privacy Statement and may not use it for any purpose other than that for which it was provided by USPS.
We may also provide information to third parties under the following circumstances:
- When we believe in good faith that the law requires it or otherwise cooperate with law enforcement activities;
- When we have a good faith belief that it is necessary to protect our rights or property from fraud, abuse, or illegal activity; or
- In the event of a proposed or actual merger, acquisition, liquidation, dissolution or sale of assets.

6. Cross-border data transfer
The international footprint of U.S. Postal Service Stamps involves the transfer of large amounts of personal information between various subsidiaries and between third parties in the countries in which we do business. Some countries have implemented restrictions on the transfer of personal information, and USPS has taken various measures in response, including:
- US Post Stamp Inc. and its wholly owned U.S. subsidiaries that receive personal information from countries outside the United States comply with applicable laws and regulations regarding the personal information of customers, partners and employees that cross geographic and jurisdictional boundaries.
- As required, USPS implements European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses, or similar clauses in other jurisdictions, if available, between our corporate entities, partners and customers.
While the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework may no longer be used or relied upon for the transfer of personal information, USPS will continue to comply with all EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework obligations. 8. EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Compliance
USPS has certified that it complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework (Privacy Shield) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, processing, and retention of transferred personal information from data protection laws Data is transferred to the United States from countries that recognize the Privacy Shield as an effective mechanism for such cross-border transfers.
